Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance to residents including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor vital signs and document observations accurately in resident charts
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency situations
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
- Support residents with cognitive impairments using specialized techniques
Qualifications
- Current Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of long-term care or hospital experience
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various night shift schedules (7pm-7am)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer skills for charting
