Responsibilities
- Delight residents with compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in resident conditions to nursing staff
- Assist with meal service and ensure nutritional needs are met
- Document care activities accurately and maintain resident confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create personalized care plans
- Respond promptly to resident call bells and emergency situations
- Support a clean, safe, and homelike environment for all residents
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska CNA certification required
- Minimum 6 months of long-term care or hospital experience
- Valid CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Flexibility to work variable night shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
