Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide mobility support and transfer assistance using proper techniques
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Administer medications under supervision and report any changes
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Offer emotional support and companionship to elderly patients
Qualifications
- Active New York State CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care or geriatric setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly patients
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
- Clean background check and drug screening
