Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient intake/output, and behavioral changes
- Assist with medical procedures under RN supervision (e.g., wound care, catheterization)
- Maintain sterile environments and strict infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Serve as patient advocate during shift transitions
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Michigan CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required (American Heart Association)
- Proficient in EHR documentation (experience with Epic preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Successful completion of background/drug screening
