Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction control, and four-handed dentistry
- Manage digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging with precision
- Execute sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory setups
- Administer patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Manage inventory ordering and supply chain optimization
- Support front desk functions including scheduling and patient communication
- Document treatment notes accurately in Eaglesoft practice management software
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification (RDA/CDA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
