Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Medication Support: Remind clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation as directed by the client or nurse.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful conversations to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of patient care activities and observations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care or healthcare settings preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
