Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Appeal denied claims with supporting documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing standards
- Conduct regular account receivables follow-up
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly billing reports for management review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with ICD-10/CPT coding
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Hawaii-specific payer requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage high-volume claim submissions
- Experience with denial analysis and trending reports
