Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Post payments and adjustments accurately within EHR systems
- Investigate and resolve claim denials and underpayments
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Generate monthly reports on key performance metrics
- Communicate effectively with providers and payers
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification (CPC, CMRS, or equivalent) preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR platforms
- Deep knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
