Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process and verify insurance claims for seamless patient transactions
- Maintain precise medication inventory and ordering systems
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA and pharmacy board regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for prescription clarification
- Manage automated dispensing equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential a plus
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
