Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications according to established protocols
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceuticals
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records with HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service while counseling patients on medication usage
- Collaborate with pharmacists on sterile compounding and medication therapy management
- Maintain strict adherence to federal and state pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software for inventory tracking and prescription management
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- CPhT certification (PTCB or ExCPT) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding techniques
