Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal discomfort
- Process, label, and transport specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA standards
- Maintain sterile equipment and clean examination areas
- Verify patient identification and order accuracy
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with lab personnel for urgent testing protocols
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture and pediatric techniques
- Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings
