Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens while maintaining strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Verify patient identities and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure seamless specimen handling
- Adhere to OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Train new staff on phlebotomy best practices and equipment usage
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification from an accredited agency
- Minimum 2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
