As a key member of our perioperative team, you'll work alongside board-certified surgeons and nurses in a fast-paced setting. We offer flexible scheduling options including 8/12-hour shifts and provide all necessary certifications and training. Our facility features 20 modern operating rooms specializing in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and general procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis and prepare sterile dressings
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate or equivalent military training
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in emergency situations
