Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care in assigned clinical specialties (ICU, ER, Telemetry, etc.)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol with precise documentation
- Monitor patient status and respond swiftly to emergent situations
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and hospital safety protocols
- Precept and orient new staff as needed during assignments
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license (compact license acceptable)
- 2+ years of recent acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS, ACLS, and any specialty-specific certifications (e.g., CCRN)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts in high-volume settings
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced urban environments
- Valid driver's license for local travel (if required)
