Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases based on medical urgency using ESI protocols
- Provide expert telephone triage and discharge instructions to patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians and emergency department staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation in Epic systems
- Implement infection control and safety protocols per CDC guidelines
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- Spanish bilingual candidates strongly encouraged
