Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate treatment plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Provide education to patients/families regarding treatment protocols
- Monitor vital signs and track patient progress continuously
- Coordinate care between departments and external providers
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EHR systems
- Strong triage protocols knowledge (ESI/Triage Scale)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
