Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using established protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and instructions to patients via phone and telehealth
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care coordination
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Monitor patient flow and optimize department efficiency during peak hours
- Educate patients on appropriate healthcare resources and preventive measures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask effectively
