Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using standardized protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice via phone triage for non-emergency situations
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Document all interactions in electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Educate patients on appropriate care settings and preventive measures
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Texas
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication abilities with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress environments
- Bachelor's in Nursing preferred (BSN)
