What You Will Do:
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, empathetic, and thrives in a fast-paced medical setting. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, prioritizing care, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone assessments to determine patient acuity and urgency.
- Document patient interactions accurately and securely within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians and care managers to develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide education and resources to patients regarding their health conditions and preventative care.
- Manage urgent and non-urgent patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification (PALS preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or triage setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
