Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology foresight strategy, analyzing emerging trends in AI ethics, quantum applications, and synthetic biology
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams to prototype 2026-viable solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government labs for cutting-edge research collaboration
- Present future-vision frameworks to C-suite and board members, translating technical concepts into actionable business plans
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies through internal innovation challenges and startup incubation programs
- Monitor geopolitical and socioeconomic shifts affecting technology adoption timelines
- Author annual 'Future State' reports predicting industry disruptions and market opportunities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Forecasting, Futures Studies, or equivalent field with 5+ years in strategic innovation
- Proven track record in developing and implementing multi-year technology roadmaps
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging domains: quantum computing, generative AI, or biotech convergence
- Exceptional scenario planning and trend analysis capabilities with data-driven decision-making
- Experience securing patents or launching products with 5+ year adoption horizons
- Strong network within futurist communities (e.g., World Future Society, Singularity University alumni)
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating future-vision projects or published foresight research
