Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, sustainable systems)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in partnership with MIT and Stanford Innovation Labs
- Conduct horizon scanning and technology impact assessments for global markets
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board of directors
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused KPIs
- Build partnerships with NASA, DARPA, and leading academic institutions
- Guide ethical implementation frameworks for disruptive technologies
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership roles
- Published research in IEEE or Nature on emerging technologies
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, climate tech, or neurotech
- Proven track record of scaling innovation from concept to market
- Strong network with global tech innovation ecosystems
- Certification in Technology Strategy Management (TSM) or equivalent
