Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and corporate objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum algorithms, AI ethics frameworks)
- Conduct competitive analysis in emerging tech sectors (neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members on technology disruption opportunities
- Forge partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Manage $50M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused prioritization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning with 5+ years in emerging technologies
- Proven track record in scaling tech startups from concept to IPO
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI safety frameworks
- Published research in IEEE Nature or peer-reviewed journals
- Fluency in Python/Java with data modeling capabilities
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain DoD clearance
