Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 2026 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and venture capital teams
- Analyze emerging tech trends and market disruptions to inform strategic pivots
- Secure $10M+ in innovation grants and partnerships with federal/state agencies
- Present futuristic frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in tech strategy with portfolio of 2020+ horizon projects
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Proven success securing government innovation funding (DARPA, NSF, etc.)
- Published thought leadership in tech forecasting journals
- Proficiency in strategic foresight frameworks (STEEP, Delphi, causal layered analysis)
- Top-secret clearance or ability to obtain (for federal partnerships)
