Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields (quantum computing, biotech fusion, AR/VR convergence)
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through market analysis and patent research
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and investor stakeholders
- Manage innovation budgets and vendor partnerships for experimental technologies
- Mentor a team of 5+ researchers and technology scouts
- Represent the company at industry forums and academic symposiums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching at least 2 emerging tech products/services
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable tech, or neuro-interfaces
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical data
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $2M annually
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or industry publications
- Exceptional presentation skills for executive and technical audiences
