Responsibilities
- Design and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing prototype technologies for 2026 deployment
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging innovations (quantum, biotech, Web3)
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Author white papers and thought leadership on future tech paradigms
- Partner with academic institutions and government labs for R&D collaboration
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 experience
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record in scaling disruptive technologies from concept to market
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, blockchain)
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven decision making
- Certified Futurist (CF) or similar strategic foresight certification preferred
- Experience securing and managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed tech journals
