Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum, AR/VR, neuromorphic computing)
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Collaborate with VCs and academic institutions to establish innovation ecosystems
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $10M annually
- Present strategic visions to C-suite and board stakeholders
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging technologies
- Proven track record scaling tech innovations from concept to commercialization
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in top-tier tech publications
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
- Proficiency in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
