Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with emerging industry trends and market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, generative AI, and biotech integration
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with potential to transform $1B+ markets
- Develop patent strategies and IP portfolios for breakthrough innovations
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and investment partners
- Collaborate with MIT Media Lab and Stanford AI institutes on joint research projects
- Mentor innovation teams in rapid prototyping and ethical tech deployment
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years tech strategy experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (3+ successful launches)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology
- Published research in IEEE/ACM journals or equivalent industry white papers
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems and academic institutions
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
