Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum AI, neuro-interfaces, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with $50M+ innovation budgets
- Identify and evaluate disruptive startups for strategic acquisitions
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board of directors
- Develop patent portfolios and IP protection strategies
- Collaborate with MIT Media Lab and Stanford Future Science Institute
- Mentor junior futurists and build next-gen tech talent pipelines
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology roles with Fortune 500 or unicorns
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Physics/Engineering
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum/AI breakthroughs
- Proven track record of launching $100M+ tech ventures
- Expertise in exponential technology forecasting methodologies
- Fluency in at least one quantum programming language (Q#, Qiskit)
- Global network of VCs and academic institutions
- Patents in quantum computing or neural interfaces preferred
