Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) with 3-5 year commercial viability
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate futuristic concepts into product development plans
- Analyze competitive landscapes and patent landscapes to identify strategic opportunities
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders
- Build partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs
- Monitor regulatory implications of emerging technologies and ensure compliance frameworks
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation management
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in future forecasting methodologies (scenario planning, horizon scanning)
- Strong understanding of AI, blockchain, AR/VR, and quantum computing landscapes
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical data
- Experience developing long-term strategic roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation or future studies
