Responsibilities
- Architect strategic technology roadmaps targeting 2026+ breakthrough innovations
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, etc.) for commercial viability
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to anticipate societal and market impacts of future tech
- Develop patent portfolios and IP strategies for next-generation innovations
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-ready technologies into development pipelines
- Represent company at global tech foresight conferences and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven future-tech impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies (PhD preferred)
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies (quantum, AI, bio-tech)
- Expertise in horizon scanning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Deep understanding of ethical frameworks for disruptive innovations
- Experience securing $10M+ R&D budgets for experimental projects
- Fluency in at least two emerging programming paradigms
