Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech) with 3-5 year market impact potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligning technological capabilities with business objectives for 2026 product launches
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and product managers to prototype future-forward solutions
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and startups in emerging tech ecosystems
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Drive innovation culture through hackathons, patent development, and thought leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- 5+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership at tech companies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of launching successful future-focused initiatives
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
