Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with global market trends and sustainability goals
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum AI, neural interfaces, carbon capture tech)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging threats/opportunities in biotech, space tech, and decentralized systems
- Secure $10M+ annual R&D budgets through data-driven investment proposals
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members with risk/benefit analyses
- Mentor junior strategists and publish thought leadership in IEEE/Nature journals
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics with 8+ years in tech strategy
- Proven expertise in at least 3 emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, or Web3)
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Foresight Platform, Delphi Method)
- Track record of scaling innovations from concept to commercialization
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals or patents in emerging tech
- Proficiency in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI) and predictive modeling
- Security clearance (Top Secret) preferred for defense-contract work
