Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype and validate emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligning tech innovation with market demands and sustainability goals
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 2026+ market potential
- Present technology strategies to C-suite and secure executive buy-in for R&D investments
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate emerging tech into commercial offerings
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for talent acquisition
- Monitor global tech policy trends and advocate for innovation-friendly frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- 8+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or scale-up
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, AR/VR, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies
- Strong network of tech innovators and venture capital relationships
- Certification in Technology Strategy or Innovation Management (e.g., CDIO, CTO Academy)
- Experience securing $5M+ in R&D funding or government innovation grants
