Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps targeting 2026 breakthrough capabilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, neurotech)
- Collaborate with MIT/Stanford research partners on pilot projects
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board of directors
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Build and lead a 12-person cross-functional futurist team
- File 5+ patents annually for novel technology applications
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with 5+ in C-suite roles
- PhD or equivalent in CS/AI/Biotech with published research
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI
- Experience building and scaling R&D teams from ground up
- Portfolio of launched products/technologies with >$100M impact
- Security clearance eligibility (government partnerships)
