Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and societal shifts
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum AI, neurotech interfaces, and climate modeling
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-machine collaboration
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio for prototyping future-proof solutions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or emerging tech R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, bio-integrated systems, or decentralized networks
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier-1 technology journals
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants ($1M+ scale)
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Proven track record of launching products with 10+ year lifecycles
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
