Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop 3-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market predictions
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, decentralized systems) for strategic integration
- Present disruption scenarios to executive stakeholders using data-driven forecasting models
- Manage $2M annual innovation budget for prototype development and pilot programs
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Stanford HAI, and other future-focused research institutions
- Develop governance frameworks for ethical AI deployment and responsible innovation
- Author quarterly 'Future Tech Briefings' for Board of Directors
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies; PhD preferred
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech evaluation
- Proven track record of launching at least two market-disrupting products
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing, generative AI, and climate tech landscapes
- Experience securing $1M+ in R&D funding from venture capital or corporate partners
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (e.g., IEEE Spectrum, TechCrunch)
