Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with emerging trends in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen human-machine interfaces
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies with 2026 market readiness potential
- Architect ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and neural network applications
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board of directors
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation across emerging technology verticals
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Published research in IEEE/ACM journals on future technology implications
- Proven track record of launching products with 3+ year development cycles
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology
- Professional certification in Technology Foresight (e.g., from World Future Society)
- Experience securing federal grants for emerging technology initiatives
