Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 2026-focused technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum AI, neural interfaces, and climate-tech solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and Fortune 500 innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present technology forecasts and innovation strategies to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Oversee patent portfolios and IP strategy for breakthrough technologies
- Mentor a team of futurists and technology architects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven 2026+ vision
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, biotech, AR/VR, etc.)
- Published thought leadership in technology forecasting or innovation management
- Experience securing $5M+ in technology innovation grants or venture funding
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Proficiency in technology impact modeling and scenario planning frameworks
- Track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Strong network with global tech ecosystems and innovation communities
