This pivotal role combines foresight research, cross-industry collaboration, and disruptive innovation to position our company as the market leader in emerging technologies. You'll work directly with C-suite executives to identify paradigm shifts, develop future-ready business models, and lead high-impact initiatives that redefine industries.
What you'll do: Conduct horizon-scanning research across biotech, AI, and quantum computing; facilitate scenario planning workshops; pilot exponential technologies; and build strategic partnerships with innovation ecosystems. Your insights will directly shape $50M+ investment decisions and product roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-year foresight initiatives identifying emerging trends through 2030
- Develop and present future scenario narratives to executive stakeholders
- Design innovation frameworks for rapid prototyping and market validation
- Partner with R&D to translate foresight into commercial opportunities
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations
- Drive cultural transformation to embed future-thinking across all departments
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial products
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing)
- Certification in futures methodologies (e.g., CFTR, SFI)
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills
- Experience leading cross-functional innovation teams
- Portfolio of published futurist research or innovation frameworks
