What You'll Do:
- Analyze global tech, economic, and sociocultural trends to identify disruptive opportunities
- Develop strategic roadmaps for 2026+ product ecosystems and market expansion
- Present future scenarios to executive stakeholders and board members
- Lead innovation sprints with R&D, engineering, and design teams
- Build partnerships with research institutions and industry pioneers
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across AI, biotech, quantum computing, and climate tech
- Design and facilitate strategic foresight workshops for leadership teams
- Create innovation frameworks to evaluate emerging technologies and market shifts
- Develop 3-5 year strategic plans aligned with organizational vision
- Manage a portfolio of experimental projects with $2M+ annual budgets
- Present quarterly future-state briefings to investors and partners
- Mentor junior strategists and build an innovation pipeline
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products/services
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend forecasting methodologies
- Advanced degree in Futuristics, Strategy, MBA, or equivalent experience
- Strong executive presence with board-level presentation skills
- Experience in agile/lean innovation frameworks (e.g., Design Thinking)
- Deep understanding of emerging tech stacks (AI/ML, blockchain, AR/VR)
- Portfolio demonstrating strategic foresight projects (required)
