Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify breakthrough technologies and societal shifts through 2030
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives and market disruption
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into R&D priorities
- Build quantitative models assessing market viability and adoption curves for emerging innovations
- Advise executive leadership on ethical implications and risk mitigation strategies for emerging tech
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to accelerate R&D
- Present compelling future scenarios to stakeholders to drive strategic alignment
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics
- Proven track record developing and implementing innovation frameworks in Fortune 500 companies
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with experience translating complex trends into business strategy
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems and futurist communities
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFS, CFIP) highly valued
