Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-year innovation roadmaps aligned with 2026 technological inflection points
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AGI, synthetic biology, neuromorphic computing) for competitive advantage
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' prototyping sessions with engineers and designers
- Present strategic foresight reports to investors and board members quarterly
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and DARPA-funded research programs
- Mentor junior strategists in horizon scanning and scenario planning methodologies
- Author annual 'Future State' industry trend report distributed to Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record translating emerging tech into commercial applications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and trend analysis
- Published research in technology foresight or peer-reviewed journals
- Deep network connections with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, or similar institutions
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-to-market technology transitions
- Proficiency in AI trend prediction tools (e.g., GPT-4, Trendalyzer)
