Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and implant placements
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems with precision
- Implement strict sterilization protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Oversee inventory control for dental materials and equipment
- Train new assistants on practice-specific workflows and technologies
- Coordinate seamless patient flow between exam rooms and treatment areas
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
Qualifications
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required
- Minimum 3 years experience in general or specialty dental practice
- Mastery of digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current credentials
- Demonstrated expertise in four-handed dentistry techniques
- Proven ability to manage emergency situations calmly
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- DEXIS/Radiology imaging system proficiency preferred
