Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in diverse healthcare settings including Level 1 Trauma Centers and specialty units
- Adapt quickly to new clinical environments and electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with JCAHO and facility-specific protocols
- Provide mentorship to less experienced staff during orientation periods
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Manage complex patient caseloads with critical thinking skills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (or compact state license)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS, ACLS, and any specialty-specific certifications required
- Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
