Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Make critical decisions on patient prioritization and disposition
- Collaborate with ER physicians and specialists on complex cases
- Document electronic health records with precision and compliance
- Provide telehealth triage support during high-volume periods
- Mentor junior staff on triage best practices
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas with minimum 3 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN or MSN preferred (non-negotiable for leadership track)
- Expertise in ESI 5-level triage methodology
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Spanish bilingual certification highly valued
