Responsibilities
- Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments prior to patient appointments.
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and procedures.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols.
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and insurance information.
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Qualifications
- Current DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification or state equivalent.
- Active Nebraska Dental Assistant License.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient comfort.
- CPR and BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
