Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in client condition to clinical staff
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and light housekeeping tasks
- Administer prescribed medications under proper supervision
- Maintain accurate care documentation and client records
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities when required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Kentucky Home Health Aide certification (HHA) or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to client homes across Louisville
