Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and engage in conversation to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse.
- Administer medication reminders and document care logs accurately.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred; we offer training for the right candidates.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
