Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary restrictions
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed
- Light housekeeping tasks including laundry, tidying living areas, and meal cleanup
- Transport patients to medical appointments and social activities
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life
- Maintain detailed care records and communicate care plans with healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Illinois Home Health Aide certification or equivalent state credential
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical care tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to patient locations
- Background check clearance and TB screening
