Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain client living areas
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to supervising nurse
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Assist with medication reminders and prescribed care routines
- Maintain accurate care documentation and client confidentiality
Qualifications
- New York State Home Health Aide certification required
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid New York State driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Clear background check and drug screening required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English (Spanish speakers preferred)
